we are looking for a talented and self-motivated PLT/Graduate solicitor to join our thriving banking and finance practice. You will be working directly under a senior associate on challenging banking & finance, professional indemnity and commercial litigation in the Supreme Court as well as complex security documentation for private and construction mortgage advances.
We are located in luxury offices in Bligh Street in the Sydney CBD. All staff are entitled to unlimited food (all you can eat) from our well stocked and fully appliance kitchen which includes bread, butter, milk, eggs, cheese, nuts and Chinese milky lollies which we are all addicted to. We unstintingly give time off for study and exams. We pay for your practicing certificate and once you have been admitted for two years we pay thousands of dollars to allow you to attend the unrestricted practicing certificate course.
Your day to day role will include working closely with the senior associate on a variety of court work for all stages of litigation including providing written advices, drafting pleadings and evidence and court appearances. You will also draft security documentation and act on all stages of banking transactional work including attending to settlements and discharges through the PEXA electronic conveyancing system.
Being a boutique firm you will have the opportunity to learn and progress rapidly, have close client interaction, work closely with your supervising partner. You will attend all client conferences and all court appearances.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, good grades, a keen ambition to progress one’s career and the ability to deal directly with clients. The candidate should also be literate with Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Drive. We operate a paperless office which requires adherence to certain protocols to assist lawyers in the best way possible. Litigation experience is an advantage, but not required. Salary dependant on experience.
