New obligations to identify mortgagors commence tomorrow
The new obligations contained within the Real Property Act on identification of mortgagors commence 1 November 2011. If you do not comply you can risk having your mortgage not registered or de-registered.
A Fact Sheet is now available to assist persons witnessing a signature on a dealing, application or caveat, to be lodged for registration at LPI. A further Fact Sheet is available on verifying the identity of mortgagors.
